Hello, my name is Kellee Prewett, I am one of your police officer’s here in Maud. I have been working full-time with the City of Maud Police Department since October 1, 2010. Prior to being hired on full-time, I was a Reserve Police Officer with the city since August 1, 2010.

I started my career in Law Enforcement in March of 2005, working at the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center. While working for this company, I advanced my rank from a Detention Officer up to a Lieutenant, within my first year of employment. After being promoted to a Lieutenant, my job duties included overseeing the juvenile detention facility, Carter Hall.

In 2008, I was asked to move over to the adult side of the Safety Center. At the adult side of the jail, I was also a Lieutenant. Duties there also included overseeing jail operations. In March of 2010, I began the Reserve Police Officer Academy with the Pottawatomie County Sheriffs Department. I received my certification from the State of Oklahoma in September of 2010.  I have since enrolled and began attending the State of Oklahoma’s full-time academy and plan to graduate in June of this year.

I hope to serve the City of Maud for many years.
Hello, my name is James T. Bottoms “Tom” I am your Chief of Police, I was certified by the State of Oklahoma as a Peace Officer in 1987 and have been in law enforcement in one form or fashion ever since. I was your Assistant Chief  24 years ago and I am truly glad to serve you again. I believe in the words “Protect and Serve”. I have traveled around this great country of ours and provided police services and security in some of the largest disaster areas this country has seen and enjoyed meeting with talking to and helping the many citizens, that truly needed a helping hand in times of need.

It is my objective as your Chief to provide an optimum level of service to the citizens of this City. It is therefore, my mission here to enhance the quality of life for citizens by reducing both crime and the fear of crime throughout the City of Maud. I feel that it is our responsibility to reach beyond the typical reactive law enforcement role to protect and serve you the citizens. I encourage the public to become an involved partner. As a public servant, I personally welcome your input and insight on what your needs are as a community and your suggestions on how we can best serve these needs.

If you would like to share information on a crime, neighborhood problem, or anything you feel requires law enforcement attention, you can send  me an  e-mail at jbottoms@maud.osgov.us
